Can anyone tell me if there is any other mods that have to be done when setting the torsion bars to maximum height, Does it put the camber on the frt wheels out alot and do you need to put extended brake lines and steering pitman arms
4x4roza, when we took our front and rear sway bars off our Surf it was soooo scary driving on road (heaps of body roll) !! But they're not hard to take on or off, so ya may as well try it and if ya dont like it, put it back on. Your 4by will have more travel with it off though

whats happening in the rear? You should limit to about 50mm by tightening TB's. Any further and the wheels will start to have negative camber (i.e they wont be vertical, with the btm in further then the top). So softist rear springs, extended shackles, and you shoul dbe 50 front up to 65 in the rear.
I did nothing else, except shocks. I havent heard of anyone on this BB changing the brakes lines cause of excessive front wheel travel.
Once you tighten the TB's, the suspension is pretty tight. When i did mine, I found the net effect on wheel travel was zilch. Actually I thought the car drove better with the tighter susp in the front.

I've removed my swaybar and it hasn't affected on road handling. Removing the swaybar will improve wheel travel as it will work like a true independant torsion bar rig.
You will lose front wheel travel by winding the torsion bars up but what u lose in the front can be gained by improving the rear setup
