THE place to look is definately the trading post.
I'd recommend using the net becuase you can easily do a search across area publications.
There's no probs with the 00/01 modle (that I'm aware of)....it's when he wants to modify the crap out of it that he'll need to do a bit more research

Hard tops come up very occaisionally but full doors are impossible to find. Tell your friend to try and find one with hard top and full doors already as you can always get a softop and maybe aftermarket half doors but going the other way is nearly impossible. Most Wranglers are pretty reliable but every so often you hear of one that has had a problematic life - best to try and quietly find out why the vehicle is beaing sold, especially if it is only 1-2 years old.

you can get them at jeep dealers, and they should set you back somehting like $5k, or go for a aftermarket one, say besttop. not cheap either...
or search around the forums & trading post, someone might be selling one
had a quote from a jeep dealer for full doors and hardtop, they half heartly qouted me $10K... so make sure you know what you want before you purchase
