has any one experianced this in a gu or gq ?
cors it just happened to me or did something else cause it ? lower arm (bent) went down n drive shaft went up ? to much torque! gu ute (big diff) 36"pedes unlockd 4.8s
any thorts ? tyres cant touch the lowers can they, cors they move in situ??
Seen it happen a few times All it takes is a slight hit and they bend up. Seen pinions snapped off too. After market arms are the way to go. Mal Leslie, Cheezy etc. Fairly priced.
Better than trying to repair your own or using a CB fix.
yep rears, would it be worth while to weld a spine like brace top n bottom the full length of a standard arm? or still not enuff
does that make sence? im not guna try to repair old ones!
cheers
Stock arms are only about 2.5mm wall seamed tube, When I bent one of Dad's stock arms we got Cheezy to fit some of his H/D replacements (in purty Blue) at the time (Little while ago now) they were only about $200 fitted, may have gone up a bit now. Haven't had a problem since.
