Well
Just got home and am uploadinh 180 odd photos to my website. You will all be pleased to know that Sam was the clear winner of the event. He put EVERYONE else to shame. On the two stages I saw he was the only guy who drove through without winching and one of the few who go through at all...
Keep u posted on ths pics location when they finish uploading.

well, i only got to go up for a couple of hours this afternoon, but it was certainly worth it.
unfortunatly i didn't get to see sam run, but i got to see the airbag equipped swb cruiser have a run, adrien in his lux, sam from overkill in his buggy (which was absolutely awesome to watch) and some bloke in an 80 series had a go when everyone had finished and managed to pop a back tyre off the bead trying to run the stage.
i've got about 60 something pics that i'm resizing now, so i'll be posting for a while.

well
The pics will be at www.offroadvw.net when the finish uploading. Just goto trips and you will find the link. At 28.8 connection it takes quite a while to do.
Results - I didn't hang around for the presentations but I know Sam in the landrover got first hands down. If I was a betting man I would say Overkill got 2nd and then I dunno.
BJ rolled his BJ on day 1 but recovered to run day two when I was there, he DNF run 1 when he lost drive to his front left hub. Tried to fix it but never rolled up for event 2.
It was a good day but I much preffer the winch challenge than XRCC. I hope to have my Meyers Manx winch racer done in time to compete this year, the little VW should shock quite a few of the big boys. Till then I continue to research and learn.
I was good to see one of Dave's events being won so outright... he even made some parts look easy :o
OH well 45 pics and the index to go.......... love dial up
