With your sill protectors r they only riveted to your sills and r they strong enough for leanin on rocks (or bouncin off em) have u noticed any bending in your sill area other than wat was already there......... just in the process of designin mine n compared to longs the shortys give ya sweet fuk all of mountin areas that wont be in the way of 5 link or rear arms ............

I was contemplatin buildin a set to a similiar design to tjpetes looks as though his slide into tubes that r welded on the chassis frame side walls .

But although these r good the brackets will eat in to much of area under the sill , ,.............

Any thoughts (irealise u r startin your own nissan mod part sales and may not be to willin to give your design but your thought would still be great).............

I make 2 types of sliders, the first are a bolt on type that protect the sills and do take a bit of ground clearance, the second are the type that I run and have full clearance but bolt through the sill with a crush sleeve, so are good for damaged sills.
I didnt go to XRCC due to a number of things, 1 being work, Plumbing and 4x4, also the Mav wouldnt have been finished in time with no testing. It is along way and alot of money to get there just to brake an untested part, the Mav will be out and competing when it is finished. :D

Any confirmation of when you will be starting to go into production?

I am really interested in the bolt-thru type slider, mainly for clearance reasons. When you say this is good for damaged sills, do you mean you remove the existing sill and tuck the slider up higher?

Just re-read you post PROPERLY... :roll: and see that you bolt the second type to the sill itself, not the chassis.

If a vehicle is running a bodylift, can you fabricate the slider to take advantatge of the extra under-sill clearance i.e. tuck the slider up higher?

Can you make the chassis mounted sliders bolt thru the chassis rail with a crush sleeve so that you don't have to wrap the slider mount under the chassis rail like a lot of guys do. On the occasion that I have to slide along my chassis rails, the last thing I want is a big bracket under the sill to get hooked up on. On a LWB, there are holes all the way along the centre of the chassis rail that would be perfect for mount locations.

Thanx 4 ya info cheesy I didnt really think bout runnin a crush sleeve inside the sill but it is ideal due to the amount of stress ya side bars do receive on occasions......

Wen ya new business takes i (and i guess alot of others )would like to have a dogalogue of all ya products and prices would be very handy

Hey Moose, how about you get your bony arse up here an fix my 1/4 panels.... I did a little damage to them today :D

Looks like I will be accellerating the program for the rear bar and 1/4 chop!!!
