Blown the head on my vitara

Post by Andrew81 »

I've had it about a month and new years day the head went. Was a great start to the year heading home after 4 nights away. :bad-words:

Do any of the suzuki swifts or anything run the same motor as a 92 carby vit?

Also while it's in bits would it be worthwhile getting any porting and polishing or cam regrind done. Everything is standard at the moment but looking at exhaust soon and maybe a dif carby down the track.

It'd probably be a great time to convert to the 16v efi motor but don't know if i've got the cash for that.

Maybe do a cam whilst you are there and you are going to the port/polish you may as well go for the 16v as not much difference in
$$.

cheers

just a thought, but you could go a 1.3 head and get it flowed with a cam upgrade, this may also up the compression a bit too if you want.

the 1.3 head with stands prolonged use at high RPMs better, compared to the 1.6 head. thats why sierras rev a bit harder.

a lot of the ZOOKS in the UK run EFI mainly, and they rev heaps hard as well, but, who knows, maybe you can pick up a half cut vit complete with EFI for cheap(ish)
