Silver 15x8 spoked rims in Melb

Post by Butt Craic »

Hoping that someone might know of a dealer in Melbourne that has at least 4 15x8 spoked rims in SILVER in stock. I am looking for the cheaper domestically produced ones, not the US versions that are upwards of $120.

Time is a bit of an issue so I'm not hugely interested in getting a white set sandblasted and powdercoated in silver.

I've asked at a heap of tyre places round the south east of Melbourne but can't find anyone that has them or that can get them in.

Cheers.

Tyrepower in Essendon will do them for about $90 a piece I think with valve protectors in black or silver.

What vehicle are they to go on.

When I was looking for tyres and rims for my girlfreinds Lux, Guest $WD in Fairfield had a heap of Lux SR5 alloy rims very cheap.

They are going on my brother's SWB GQ so the lux alloys won't work unfortunately as the centre bore is slightly smaller on the Toyota's.

Seems like everyone has the 16" rims in silver but no-one can get them in a 15. The 16"s are about $90 a rim whereas you can generally get the 15"s at about $60-70 a rim and the tyres are generally a bit cheaper.

Just spray them or powder coating wouldn't cost much more than $80 all up.

Had a mate borrow one of my silver 15x8 rims and instead of taking his tyre off it he decided to buy me a new one instead. Its been on order for over 3 months I think.
