For toyota search pirate under hydro assist. And you'll come up with a few good threads. All the details are there.
Sorry I haven't got any pics of mine

You need to maintain the draglink as I don't think a p/s box will proportion correctly. I know with my ram unmounted all you have to do is touch the wheel one way or the other and the ram goes full travel. Where as an orbital control valve is proportional and thus no draglink needed.

Might be a dumb question but would it be possible to run quick connect fittings in the lines going to the ram? I ask because I want to put assit on my lux but I still want to do some winch challenges in it and you are not allowed assit in winch challenges. What I`m thinking is you could unbolt the ram and then just unplug it from the lines and plug the 2 lines from the box into one another, no hang on ones high pressor ones low presser
Owell I stop blabbing now

Guts, just guessing,
I think you could do the disconnect route but instead of joining the lines together you would be better capping them off so that you don't loose pressure through a looped extra hydralic line off the pump.
that way you should have origional pressure through the box.
PS having the ram on pins as well too so you can take it off instead of having it on would be good too.

Guts,
Shane does something similar with the Firetruck.
He has blanking plates that can be screwed into where the hoses usually go, so if you have a breakage or just want to change the steering back to stock you can
All that is changing now though as he is going full hydro with a double ended ram
As some other guys have said, pirate4x4 has loads of info regarding hydro on toys and jeeps etc.
Guts,
I just disconnect my lines from the ram, screw the caps on, remove the ram and I'm good to go. I have done this before speed events to regain std steering. If you wanted to get really tricky you could use dry-break fittings like on excavators etc for attachments.
