has anyone fitted rear seats in their 40 series from say the back of a vitara/ van etc?? if so what vehicle did you get them from, price you payed, work involved installing them???

any info/pics would be great :D

ive got a seat that i was going to fit into my fj40 but have changed my mind
its about 1300mm wide so wider than most and wont fold up due to the width but will seat 3 ppl uncomfortable

its in poor condition needs recovering but if your interested let me know and ill take a photo or 2 of it

I got troop carrier style seats in it.

LEGALLY carries 7 in a FJ40

yeah we did this many years ago, only on one side though. blue slipped and legally carried 5, with still heaps of cargo space.

you could make almost anything fit.

ive seen and heard of people using the rear split fold down seats from the back of suzuki sierra's..

apparently they slot right in the rear with no "major" mods...
now in Perth

hey i got a 45 troopt and yeah u can literally fit anything we had 2 peoples camping gear for a week, tents, clothes fishing rods, dune boards and even a full size motor bike, yeah its great, no one needs a trailer when u have a troopy.
Holden or laxatives? I pick laxatives, at least I'm guaranteed the sh*ts gonna run !!!
