I have asked this question in the general section but I would like to hear from rover owners. Just wondering what radiator people are using for those who are no longer running standard engines (308, 350 or even bigger) or running bigger rover engines in the older rovers, I currently have a 308 in my 1980 and running a 3 core VL commodore radiator, my problem is even though I've just replaced it there is still a temp issue, on my way back from melbourne i had a lot of temp problems eg 100 celsius and having to drop back to 80kph to lower temp, stopped on the way raised the rear of the bonnet and temp was a lot better except on hills where it would rise but once you were up it would drop back to 85/90 very quickly, would i be better off fitting a 5 core or say say something similar.

Generally increasing the number of rows of tubes in the core has deminishing returns (less temp drop in rear tubes because the air flowing past them has been heated by the tubes in front). But sometimes this is more practical (limited space etc).
Increasing frontal area of the radiator will increase cooling.
If you have changed the radiator from stock, is the new one shrouded properly?
The other important thing to look at is the cooling fan - condition of the viscous hub etc. Even at higher speeds a defective viscous hub can lead to overheating.
