The cheapest Feroza lift?

The cheapest Feroza lift?
After looking at a few Hilux's I noticed the rear leaves on Hilux's were mounted above the axle, whereas the Feroza's are mounted below the axle. Has anyone lifted their Feroza by remounting their leaves on top of the axle. It looks like you could get about 3" by doing this. Then I suppose all I have to do is wind up the torsion bars as far as they can go.
By the way Murray, awesome rig. Just wanted to know if you where carrying a snatch strap on Sunday. Would have been alot easier than pushing Heather's zuk up that hill. Espacially seeing I had one

If u don't get stuck at least once each

Also you'd probably get more like about 5" of lift by doing a spring over. Diameter of axle tube + height of new and old spring perches + thickness of spring pack...

Yeah, I'd say at least 4.5" of height...you'll end up 2" higher in the back than the front...
Easiest way might be to hit the wreckers, pick up a few more Feroza spring Packs and add a few more leaves, you only have two now that are inverting at rest....then wind up the front to match...should give you a bit more lift..
I had a snatch, and was about to rig it up when you guys turned up, so we just pushed...was a lot quicker hehehe.

Yeah thats cool we didn't mind pushing. Mind you if it wasn't you guys but those girls in the sahara 60 we would have been pi$$ed, Ronnie was really at the end of her tether with them, as we were caught behind them again just before we came across you guys. Get this, they were blocking the trail when we pulled up. I got out to see what was wrong (again) and they said " we can't find our mobile, can you ring it for us?" 10 minutes later we get going again after they located it under the back seat
Some people just don't belong behind the wheel of a 4by in the bush.
I might only have 2 leaves but it gives good articulation.
But yeah I may as well just bite the bullet and spend the money but I'm such a tight a$$ these days.

Sorry 'bout my previous post........
SPOA (Leaf-over) as it is known has only been done on 2 Ferozas in the world (at this stage)
Kent in the States has done a rear SPOA BUT has a solid axle swap in the front which remains SPUA (Spring Under)
AND
Mine !!!
SPOA Front and Rear using Hilux Leaf springs and diffs !!
I would reccommend doing this IF you can afford the costs of finding the gear, doing it (or getting someone to do it for you) and then ......getting it Engineered !!
What Murray suggests with getting another leaf spring in the rear pack should help + you could make some slightly longer shackles for the rear. As well as winding your torsion bars right up !

Instead of adding leaves I would be better off getting whole new spring packs altogether, so my back end doesn't sag so much when we go away.
sh!te, listen to me "so my back end doesn't sag" I sound like an old friggen lady.
Will after market heavy duty torsion bars give me the lift before being wound up, if so, how much lift overall after being wound up?

No......get another leaf added in !
When you go away...your car is usually loaded up with stuff in the back.....right......eskies....beer....etc. So getting the same leaf springs will cause the same problems of sagging when loaded up !
An extra leaf should help overcome the sagging problem with load in the back.....and last longer than just getting the standard leafs put in it !

I think from memory the standard Feroza leaf set up had 2 leaf's and a helper , I've now got 5 leaf's and a heavy duty helper , my last attempt I had 4 leaf's and a helper
