I have been told i need to put my GQ shorty over the pits as i have changed it from a TB42 to a TD42 some time ago. Has any one had any dramas with doing this before??? I am running the petrol gearbox and 4:1 diffs. The job is all professional and looks neat any pointers??? Im also in WA if that changes things.

Engine swaps usually require engineering again.. but since the same car came out with the other engine you may not need it?
Dont know bout down south but in QLD for that mod all you would have to do is a change of engine number (on thew form it askes fuel type) and that would be it But if you were to turbo it then you need a mod plate
NSW RTA use to require a pit inspection for any engine change even if its the same type. Last one I did all they wanted to see was the engine number and that was it. Was a while ago so things may have changed.
in QLD when you change an engine with one that was origanally an option from the manufacturer, which your was. then all other components need to match, ie brakes, suspension etc.. i assume in WA it would be similar...
