2 inch spring lift on GQ
the cost of cheezy's longer arms and lifted engine mounts is suprisinly reasonable.. longer arms delivered to sydney by aust post cod $170 the pair, and i think he sells the lifted engine mounts for 300 the pair, but dont quote me..go to his web site. u will only need the longer lower trailing arms for lifts 3 inches and higher..less than that and x member spacers will rid ur vibes. dont use x member spacers on bigger lifts due to the fact u need to space to much.. lowering x member to much makes vulnerable and the angle puts to much stress on engine mounts and gear box mounts.

Have you checked your pinion bearinds at all cause when i lifted my wagon from 2 to 4 inch it caused a bit of a vibration which we eventually traced down to the pinion bearing
Figure it was on the way out allready but more angle on the shaft exsentuated(that is spelt right i think) it. When all else is covered this may be your problem Worth a look mate

mate had a similar problem with his but it turned out his panhard bolts were loose in the eyelets ? may aswell give em a wriggle
just a little left of insanity :)

Though the funny thing is........ I havnt done anything yet to fix it, and the vibrations are near unnoticeable now. they have been slowly getting less and less without me noticing, got in today and realise the Vibs were mostly gone.......

for a novice {me}, is the pinion bearing adjustable if it is loose or does it
need a rebuild? and i assume it is the one on the end of the diff centre
where the tailshaft bolts up to?

You cant adjust the bearing itself much... You can adjust the spider gaer on the inside of the diff a little bit and u can tighten the bearing up with the bo nut, but cant adjust it exactly......
and yeh its the one on the end of the diff where the shaft bolts to.

you will have castor correction to make yours not vibrate.
we are trying not to use castor correction.
alot of us also work on our own cars to save money rather than paying ppl to do it for us
