I will have to post some pics of the sliders I am building at the moment.
They are way beefy! (probbably TOO beefy they weigh a bit) Use a bolt on mount similar to the one in this post except they have the c section sliding in from the side with two bolts going up the inside edge.
Then I have 3 RHS legs with gussets joing to a 50x50mm RHS that runs the length of the sill just under the pinch weld with a tube thats atached to that.
Anyway I would post some pics but I dont have a digi camera so youl have to wait until I finish my film and scan it :finger:

Allow max clearance under the chassis, no bolts or edges to be crushsed or bent below the chassis.

I reckon it would be easier to make up the u shape out of 3 pieces of metal and then weld them, to get an exact fit around the chassis.

Yep, that would prob be easier on fit but I just prefer the neatness of the folded plate. Make sure you post up pics of your final result, I'd be interested how the "welded" version ends up.

Cheers.

I cut and welded my C mounts for my front because the chassi is a funny angle but for the others I got a local fab place to bend em for me.
Welded seems OK but bent up is nicer.
Like I said pics coming soon :)
