how much extra flex you think you got, looks good for this style patrol can remember a mated that was set up similar (without spring joints) and it flexed crap.
I would say even with the tyres hitting the inner guards it has gained about 2'' up travel and about 4" down travel.Should be a bit better with some wheel spacing.
Took it for a drive today and it is pretty much the same as what it was before, maybe a small amount more body roll but nothing major.
Hopefully will take it for a wheel this week-end and see how it feels on the track.
I was thinking of putting some ( Johnny joints ) on the Feroza , but was thinking of putting them on the front hanger and keep the Revolver on the rear , it's good to see ShortyMQ has tried them and has done all the hard R & D to see if they actually work

Shorty MQ is also making a set of 60" springs to suit the orbit eyes for my hilux. Hope to have them in for easter at the Manar!

I rolled the spring eyes a bit tighter than the size of the orbit eye so they are a press fit.I also put a small tack weld on just to be sure.I took it for a quick play on sunday and everything is working well
Stepho wrote:What sort off benefit/advantage would you get if the springs were standard or off the shelf items? If more flex, any ideas on how much?(on average)
The smallest bollock joint is 50mm dia so it wouldn't actually fit any standard springs. But if they did i beleive they definately would increase flex to a certain amount.
Richard at 4x4 engineering Acacia Ridge in brisbane is using them on a hilux fitted to the fixed eye of the rear springs combined with superior 4wd shackles they leave no strain on the spring whatsoever.
Richard is using a smaller type purchased from bigballs offroad.
There is a bigger unit on the market approx 70 mm od available from calbah engineering. There is a set of these fitted to a 75 series cruiser with Superior 4wd shackles and the articulation is awesome. This is combined with a ladder bar and so far no signs of spring strain or flattening.
