2003 jeep grand cherokee/Selec-Trac making noise

Post by safarikick »

when engaged into 4 wheel full time 4 wheel drive after driving for 20 minutes or so it makes a weird clunking noise in front end and or drive train.the noise is after leaving a stop sign. this noise dose not happen in 2 wheel drive at all. car only has 11,000 miles on it and dealer says it is normal do you have any suggestions or is this normal?
i do not use the part-time on dry pavement i use the full time 4 wheel drive in the rain and snow. the book said that you can drive on all {dry rain snow ice}

what type of front shaft do you have?
CV or the UNI..

just interested... has nothing to do with the fact that your service guys forgot to grease your front shaft at the last service...
