Opinions please

Post by HRZOOK »

I just got my Bushwacker flares from USA as the other thread states

Now I have them I am wondering did I do the right thing???

When I hold the flare up to the guard the wheel sits about 3" inches inside the flare. Admittedly my wider Simex tyres have not yet been tested against the width of the flares yet....

Ok my question is:

If my tyres sits too far inside the guard will my zook look uber Grimace and if so how much would I have to backspace the rim to make it look  ?

Thanks

if there's too much space, just get the centres fliped in the rims. it'll all be better in the long run

Good purchase, from what i have read in the US, they are meant for up to
15" wide tyres, anything less may look a little effeminate. They will look cool either way, just may need more offset on your rims?

9" is under the body of the car, and 6" is under the flare?

GOLD? not really... I think 'out of place' would be a more suitable description than "effeminate". Flares that are too wide for the tyres looking more characteristic of a woman than a man? Has nothing to do with it! Thats why i think trail tough should make different sizes for us downsized zookers :P..... so it doesnt look out of place or "stoopid"!

wheel track

Post by toysuzi »

hey heath

what rim size are you running 15'' x 7'' (road rims)
are thay 4'' backspacing ??
id increase your BS to around 2.5'' (15'' x 7'') if possible

and for your simex tyre us 15'' x 8'' rims 3.75'' backspacing
or mod 15'' x 8'' to achieve 3'' BS
that way ull increase your wheel track buy 100mm -4''

or dont fit the flairs keep them till you do you suspension upgrade (long link.custom coil suspension) & fit hilux diffs
you know you want to

if not you know someone who will need them sumtime this year
