mav leaking water...

Post by viperguy »

hey, i just thought id ask here incase somone has had similar experience with their patrol or mav leaking water into the front drivers footwell as they drive in heavy rain. i noticed mine doing this this arvo during a pretty heavy strom we had in sydney western suburbs. there was actually a fair bit of water coming in and when i got under the dash with torch to look for leak i just couldnt see where the water was trickling from..would it be from blocked drain in sill panel, rust hole in sill panel, leaking windscreen rubber?

i know from experience wit patrol/mavs that if something goes wrong with one of them it usaually happens to the whole fleet so just checking if anyone has had it happen before and where did they find the problem..

thanks in advance guys

Does it have a sun roof :?: If it does could be the drains around sunroof blocked.

There is actually a drain at the bottom of the screen on the drivers side. theres a tube/channel that can get blocked that takes the water down into the 'gutter' to flow away... Cant remember now where exactly it is, but when I had my screen replaced the bloke showed me.. heaps of people complain about them.. Not sure of how to clear em either.
