DO YOU WANT A BRISBANE 4WD PARK
Moderator: evanstaniland
Logan Districts 4x4 club monthly meeting is on the 2nd Wednesday night of each month. If you are interested in attending to talk about your park then simply email me at natwood47@hotmail.com and we can organise a time for you to attend.
Should be plenty of interest from club members.

I reakon it all depends on what u want.
As mentioned earlier rock events pull the spectators. i cant think of a better day out - a burbon and a huge truck trying to drive over something u need ropes to climb up.
However the mud is bloody fun to play in and can be reasonably safe to muck around. They held an event a few yrs ago - i think it was put on by the landcruiser club out at Connondale up the north coast. That pulled a big crowd however all it needed was a big rock crawl.
For the smaller trucks mud and hill climbs for the big boys u need ROCKS and to draw a crowd u need all of the above mixed in with boobies and burbon. (or Rum, XXXX - what ever gets u going)
i dont think that makes it any more clearer but thats my 2 bob,
Cheers,
Greazy

Life is for my own to live my own way......
I have just been reading through this post and thought that it sounded familiar. I came across a post that I had placed back on July the 8th 2003. I understand that you are using this forum to gain more interest but you go on and on about not getting the replies that you want. I have as yet to hear of or see any correspondance for our club from you. You have more than been invited to attend one of our meetings - the next one being - 10th March 2004. If you wish; pm myself or Marshy for the clubs address house.
We all wish you luck with this venture.

So what happened to the dude that started this thread?
Hey, here's a thought, a track for soft-roaders. I am sure there is many a yuppie out there that would use a track so the conversation in the office on Monday could go something like.
"What ya do on the weekend?"
"Took the 4wheel drive out for a bit of a run" "Got a bit of body flex going on" "Got some great shots on the digital camera, one even show a wheel off the ground, see".
"Nice picture, which one is yours, the Kia or the Rave"?
But in all seriousness, I'm sure these guys would love to leave the road at least one. Just need to install a wash point or even a Car Lovers.

I think you will find that Realux no longer comes onto the Forum. There is a few of his customers on here such as Fatass75 (I think) who maybe able to help out with some info.
Last I spoke to him it was going to go ahead but that was a while ago now.
I suggest you contact him directly on the email address he provided of goto the Superior Engineering website and email him from there.

An "outsiders" view, but this sounds a lot like what Cheezy is setting up down here. I would get in contact with him for a little more direction/ideas.
George Carlin, an American Comedian said; "Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise that half of them are stupider than that".
If you could have a couple tracks that would test a stock 4by, but not break it. This way clubs can use it for training and more people will go if they know that they won't hurt their rigs. This way they can have a little drive to make themself feel good about having a 4b, and then watch the big boys as they play. This would just generate more interest in our sport and hopefully stop the gov. closing more areas that we like to go to.

seems like theres not much interest in a park closer to brisbane
Mate! You've got to be kiddin' me! OF COURSE there's interest in another 4wd park close to brissie.
I can think of at least two clubs and another dozen individuals who would jump at the chance to have another park to play in that is actually close enough to go out to for a full day, not spending half of it on the road!
I think the trick is just going to be getting the word out. I'll mention it to my club and hopefully get some more feedback for ya, but seriously don't discount the idea..........it would go down an absolute treat!
