Curious if anyone has any accidents with Split rims going off? Pain ?
injury? or just lucky?

No, and I've fitted a few on the side of the road. But, there was the picture of a swedish tyre fitter who, I think, was killed when the split rim he was reinflating, exploded, and flung him against, and into the ceiling of the workshop he was working in. I saw it a few years ago, as a reminder to always use some sort of cage, or at least, have it under the vehicle, when reinflating split rims.
