MAJOR HILUX PROBLEMS

Post by RATLUX »

hey all just went out to westmount cotton road today all was fine there but later on in the arvo me an a mate went for a wheeln out at the port off brisbane. On going up one off the hills the front off my car started to bounce up an down obut 3 or 4 times when i herd a loud bang so i stoped trying to get up the hill. Now my car makes loud clunking and banging sounds when in hi and low range. It sounds like something in the transfer case may have given way.
If any one has any info on what the problem it would be off great help

Can you steer left to right easily(no crunching noises)

If it binds up in the steering in any way theres a fair chance you've done a cv or 2

- My Guess -

Yea, I'm guessing CV as well. I take it it doesn't do it in 2WD?
