GQ Carbie Airbox/Filter running LPQ

What are people using? Mines crappy and would never be able to seal against water. I'm using a Impco 300A.

is your airbox plastic or metal. i have a 300a as well, but it has a metal airbox, unlike my last which had a really crap plastic 1, like most that i have seen. My metal 1 is smaller as well, so doesn't touch the battery or wiring loom just next to the battery. I'm thinking at some stage of welding it up around the bottom, or just somehow permanently sealing it, and cutting it open around the top and putting a rubber seal, like a standard airbox on the 4.2 has. should make it watertight. I think most people just put heaps of silicon around all the joints in the airbox/air intake, and when filter need replacing, just break silicon, clean it up, and reseal.
Rum injected

TD42T shorty... got some bolt on and some custom stuff.

What a pain in the ass. I want something more like a injected setup, With a box. Same as a VN/VP Commodore, does anyone have some pics or ideas?

Saw a GQ shorty that the bloke had fitted a landcruiser air filter assembly on. He had made a metal cover, with no filter fitted, to go over the mixer and a tube from there to the Cruiser filter box. I think it was off a 60 series.
