Hi Suzuki guys.
I'm going to buy an electronic speedo correction unit for my Rodeo and my friend with a Jimny wants one too.
I looked at his Jimny and it appears to have an electronic speedo.
My question is do Jimnys actually have an electronic speedo and if they do what is the colour of the speed sense wire.
Also if anyone has done this already do you know the best place to break into this wire within the vehicle.
Thanks.

Tell your mate to go to www.jimnyworld.com There's a string about it in the forum.
DRS smells like a cat-food milkshake... and wet socks... and gorgonzola cheese... all whizzed up in a blender
Thanks Squik. I just looked at that thread and I have a question for you (or anyone else):
Robsjimny has said that you need to break into the speed sense wire at the cluster and not the gearbox as the ECU also needs this info. Now I would have thought that it would be beneficial and not detrimental to have the ECU (and therefore airbags) getting the correct info and not a reading that was 10-15% out. Therefore you would break into the wire before anything got the info from it so to speak.
What do you think?

I'm baaaaaaaaaack.
We did the speedo on the weekend and it turns out the VSS is the yellowy/green wire. We broke into the wire just before the computer. He doesn't have any airbags and I reckon it's better if the computer does know the corrected speed.
Works well. We have it set at 7% for 225/70 16 tyres.
Ok I'm going back to the Isuzu forum now. Had enough of Zooks for one weekend
