Post by Rotazuk »

Hi
Also wondering if anyone knows of the top of there head what the round ball just under the power steering resivour is on a 91 rr . Its right where I want to put a second battery .
Will have a good look in a few days and read the manual etc ( its dark out in the shed now )

But anyone know what I am talking about and can it be moved

Cheers

It,s a vacuum canister which is usually moved near the coil when fitting a second battery. The power steering reservoir is usually moved to the other side of the battery tray. This is one way of doing it.

This is what I did just last weekend.

I moved the 'round thing' up near the coil on top of the wheel well. You don't have to cut the hoses or anything if you jig it right.
I moved my power steering resevoir onto a little right angle bracket I made up that I attached to the air filter box mount on the inside of the wheel well. I fixed it so that the two hoses off the reservior straddled the very end of the battery tray, clears everything nicely.

I included some pics, I hope they help.
