Ok I didnt forsee this when moving my tank because I was moving my tank so that my radiator would fit and didnt really think about it. Usual shit moving one thing necessitates farking with somehting else.
Anyway the brake proportioning valve on the lux mounts right where my tank is now going to mount. I have come to far to go back the other way so I'm going to try to get around this.
If I move the BPV forward about 6 inches the tank should fit. I checked in the manual how the lever (called the spring in the manual) is assembled and I figure I could probably make another and space it back the 6 inches so that it simulates the old position. Seeing it is already bent for the spare tyre I dont see any major dramas with bending up a new one (especially since the spare is gone which means a more direct line). This means I could also make up for my suspension lift and get some rear braking back.
Anyone see any problems with doing this? I dont wanna use a willow type adjustable because I've been told that engineering becomes difficult then.
Cheers
John

Shifting Proportioning Valve

I you want to stick with the standard one just move the valve forward then make a new arm with a bend in it to attach to the housing. If it's ok for toyota to have j-arm steering then surely, the prop valve would be ok
Or you could forget the bend and just weld it to your driveshaft. It's not like you're actually going to finish the car anyway

Not a bad idea h & m I'll have a look tomorrow.
How can I weld it to my driveshaft? There's still a gaping hole where you canabalised my diff center. Rearing some mozzys in the puddle in the housing at the moment.
