hey ratlux, just to clear it up. is the 78 the model after the 79????
cause i was asking the toyota guy for info on the "new model" and he was showing me the 78. i assumed he was a halfwit with old brochures. but then i got told he was right. cant they count over there at toyota......jeez im glad i got a GU. i just hope the next one isnt a Gt.......

79ser is the UTE check the ID plate the difference is in the wheel base UTE is longer. Get the RV you get power windows and bucket seats factory flares mags.
When they changed to coil springs they also put the 100 series front diff in. They gut at Wonangatta Caravan Park blew his front diff pulling someone out in reverse.
They seem more likely to go in reverse. Better to turn around and pull forward. Also never use the front locker in reverse. Otherwise your likely to hear a loud 'bang'.

78 is the Troupy and the 79 is the ute.
Both are available with STD diesel and multi valve turbo diesel.
The RV ute is only available with the multi valve turbo diesel.
