Yep, they're doing some pretty cool stuff with Troopers/Jackaroos over in Iceland. They actually have a 5.38:1 ring gear/pinion set to go with the big tyres. Here's the link to the site:

What size are those? 44's? You reckon 5.38 would be low enough to turn those suckers? If you wanna see some cool 4WD Action from Iceland do a search on Icelandic Hill Climbs. I have a cool link on my PC at work I'll post. Has some cool vid clips too!

Yep Steve those particular ones are 44s. The 5.38 compares to the 4.3s on our standard rigs so is a reasonable increase but probably not for 44s I agree. Would be keen to see the link if you can find it.

your jackaroo would not have any problems with ground clearance with a set of 44s, you would just need a ladder to get in he he he
