what is the best oil for a siera 5 speed gear box. the gear box is very noisy and clunks as you slip it into second. will thick good quality oil make it smoother and quieter if so which oil is best. and do oil aditives like nulon work?

If she's notchy you usually need thinner oil but it will also whine a bit more.Apart from nulon those expensive clear addatives are usually some overpriced auto transmission fluid .

what brand of oil is the best to use...i herd penrite is good? also wat grade oil?
