Bonet hinges.

The bonet hinges on my MK or very stiff and makes the bonet feel like it weighs a tonne. Any ideas on lossening them up?
Its not cool, unless it's got boost :)

it's not the hinges, the bonnet on the MQ really does weigh a ton.

No when i had the bonet off the hinges were really hard to move. I know they weigh a bit but it shouldnt feel that heavy.

WD40, but like DD said

I could explain about moments (physics) and how a stiff hinge won't matter

It's like putting a 1.5m bar on a spanner, no matter how tight it feels it will move (or break) with the leverage of the bonnet length it won't matter unless your bonnet it flexing because of the strain. In which case new hinges.

mate 40 bonnet weighs a tonne also....

way to fix it, fibreglass!!!

one day i will find a cheap OK condition glass bonnet. then i will be king of the WORLD!

look for one for ya poo-troll also. someone must make them.
