The blocks on the outer edge look longer (i.e. wider across the tread face) which may increase their effectiveness as "paddles" in loose stuff.

So - I just measured mine, and the longest outside block is about 70mm long. Anybody with other sizes care to measure theirs?

I've got 31in MT/Rs with about 500kms on them. I just measured where the outer tread block begins down the sidewall to the top section of the lug. Not the highest part of the lug but where its lower edge is where it then curves up and over the tyre.

If that's the measurement you're talking about then mine measure 73mm.

Thanks Utemad - sounds like the bit I was measuring. Anybody else?

Go the MTR's!!!!

as said in a previous message, bang for your buck..

I've got heaps of km's out of them on my 80.

little noisy on road as they get more worn down but still not as much as muds.

And good on road traction for day to day use.
