I have PM'd Yld4b on this but I thought anyone could have some info.
Just a couple of questions and opinions.
Are the Ute springs same as a SWB rears? How much has the front diff moved as Has it caused any other probs with the steering and shock placing.
As I have done RUF as well but I moved the rear mount back about 2"s Would you reckon that I would be able to place in longer springs like a mazda 808 springs to gain more length and flex? I am guessing the outcome with the shackles woukd be same as yours at the end.
thanks for that
cheers

Ok just to clear it up I totally agree with you redzook with what you are saying about the spring still binding at full stuff. I had intended to weld a plate on to stop it from doing this. My main concern is the fact that I don't have any travel at the moment to speak of if I hit a bump. I had a look at it this afternoon and just quickly bolted the shackles to the bull bar. This looks heaps better in light of this I am going to try and make something like the pic that I have attached so that I can move the mount point forward. I will also be playing with the spring pack to try and get it to sit just a little higher.
Thanks for your help guys

1993 Triton V6 on the Build up.....not any more as I now have a Zook to play with.
Mine are definitely 2" longer no doubt about that. I think that I have got the problem licked at the moment. Time will tell after I fab the extensions this weekend.

redzook wrote:if he gets more arch in the springs it wont help the problem he needs a bit longer shackle
wouldn't a curved spring give it a bit more movement before it hits on the bumpstop or shackle/chassis?
yeh but when he is flexing it ie when the spring goes flat it will bind again
THE ONLY WAY TO FIX YOU PROBLEM IS A LONGER SHACKLE
y does every one keep say restset the springs resting wont make them any shorter when they are flat
keep ur shirt on tim
it'll be the same when flat, but old mate was wanting a bit more travel before it was flat, so he had some movement before it hit, instead of hitting straight away. wouldn't really fix the problem tho....
