tires
hi, i would like to change my pajero's tires. 88 model 2.6 L petrol . The original ones are 205-80 R 16. Rims are 6JJ. If I use 235-85 R 16 do I have to do any lifting.
88 Superwagon LWB,7 seater, 2.6L 4G54 engine, 5 sp,Manuel Hubs, LSD(fitted later).
I ran 235/85/16 A/Ts on my 89 swb. The only prob i had was rubbing on the rear wheel arch at full articulation. This stopped when i did a 2" lift.
The real problem is lack of power from the 2.6 trying to turn a tyre that is closer to a 32" than a 31".
Time to look for some 5.29 diffs
Regards
Pierce
