Any idea how much works involved in getting compliance for a early 80s (1litre) sierra fitted out with a 1.3 zook/barina engine?
I've called up about two this weekend, both to be sold unreg, with no compliance on the engines..
We all know its a straightforward conversion and all, but how much efforts involved in making sure qld transport are happy about it? Is it as simple as telling them its a replacement engine 'heres the new engine number'?
or do i have to see an engineer and get a blue modplate and so on?
I have no idea right now. If someone can point me in the right direction, that would be sweet

i think when you ring up to quote the new engine # G13XXXXXXX and its different to what the 1.0 is (don't recal it off the top of my head) they will wise up pretty quick.
Perhaps contacting you local engineer to find out what they want done for it to be certified.
Or if you know a friendly RWC bloke get a dodgy done
