Need help!!!!!!! 3ltr v6 Surf

Post by tomsoffroad »

This is the problem..... Looks like oil and water mixed but I'm 99% sure that its not.
The engine is running sweet and it not using oil or water. It has no visible leaks either.
Has anyone had this problem?

Cheers
Thomas

hey tom
i Know you sed no visible leak
but looking from NSW
it looks like you have a coolant leak/sweat from eather the water pump (behind timing case cover)
OR the alloy fitting (top radiator hose neck) that bolts threw the timing case cover

*it looks to be coolant stains the water has evaporated &
left the powded coolant behind

you really need to pressure test ur coolant system
ull find if its the water pump it may only leak when engines hot & under pressure 12-15psi

Mate the 3.0Ltr V6 are notorious for doing head gaskets!

At a guess I'd say that's the problem!

Looks like your upper coolant bypass is leaking by the picture. Remove the two 10mm nuts and reseal very common
