Dash out??

Dash out??
Hey guys
How easy it it to get the dash out??
I have a blown globe on the dash...... well i have a few actually!
1 is behind the tacho (green back light) so obviously the speedo section needs to come out there.. any pointers??
The other 1 i noticed last night is all the back lights behind the heater / aircon section above the stereo.. the cigarette lighter light is working but no other... any pointers on getting the middle section out? I have had the stereo out a million times but never the other section.
What type of globes are they?
Thanks
Jarrad

.
well i've pulled the dash apart several times and i dont think it's all that hard. I've never had to replace any globes though.
i just now had the whole dash off to do some re wiring and it all went back together without too many hassles.

i hate to say it but the only way i've ever had the middle section out is by removing the whole lot. I'm sure someone out there must know a way to get in there without removing the lot but i've never done it. it seems to be one piece?????

Id say that Feroza and Rocky dashs are very similar. You can remove the whole dash, which is fun, but pretty easy once done a couple of times, or,
The instrument panel comes out on its own, and for the heater controls, remove the knobs, then slide something like a knife along the join on top and the bottom of the heater switch panel. There should be 2 or 3 small clips (each end and middle) that you can dislodge then remove the panel on its own. The bulb is in a small twist fitting. Do this carefully so as not to damage the clips. The panel should just push straight back in when finished.

hey the same thing happened to me before you pull the dash out pull the panel out that has all the aircon functions like the blower speed ac button there is just one bulb that lights them all up it take like 5 mins to replace. and the tacho lights are piss easy just don't remove the cluster out to far without disconectiong the speedo cable but it is very simple job
Hey guys
I spent the arvo taking the dash apart. Thanks heaps for the advice, it made the job a whole lot easier.
The globe behind the heater controls olny took about 5 minutes to get out and replace.
The dash was pretty easy as well, Basically there are a few screws above the tacho and speedo that you have to undo, that will pop the top of the dash off. After that you will find 2 or 4 screws that you have to undo, that will let you take the surround off.
Down by your feet there are 2 screws pointing up, undo them and that will loosen the panel that sits flat up against the steering wheel..... After that, just fiddle around and undo what ever else you can, its HEAPS easier than i thought... the globes are standarf Narva globes, the dash lights have a little rubber condom that sits over the blobe... they are also narva (about $2 for pack of 5) there are 4 globes behind the dash. I replaced all globes as they are slightly brighter than the standard 1's.
Hope this has helped
