the problem is obviously going to be the fact that they are full floating, and as a result the AXLE itself is longer, than a semifloater. Making for a difficult comparison.

add 85mm to the long side for a 60 series shaft short side is the same.

Personally, id grab 2 x 80 series long side shafts, it could net you as much as 6" of width. 40 series willl gain you 11" or more (with hilux centre) and the 60 series ones will gain you 16+ "

I had them all posted in a tech article on another forum, then they were removed to save space :(

I was disheartened and no longer care.

Should have hit me up when you were in town i got ALL of them lying on the floor of my garage (car hole)

that would be an 80 series! It has the most centred pumpkin of all the 30 splin full floaters that toyota made.

rear axles
from a full float 1998 model HZJ80 series

outside flange to very inside tip measurements =

short side:
745mm

long side:
935mm

60 long side is 985 mm from tip of splines to back of flange

front inner
Hilux ones are 790long and 380short.

40 series fronts:
the short one mesures 455mm and the long one mesures 875mm

thats the front inners yep thats with the cvs removed

can anyone confirm some of these lengths or add any new ones. By my calcs there is some discrepancy between the two listed lengths of 40 series long side 875mm without c.v 950mm complete (c.v adds 75mm?)
also are they all splined the same??

they are all the same splines i believe. not too sure but that sounds a bit too short for the cv length.
