80 Series Steering Box
So last night i stuffed up and hit a jump up too hard
and i'm sure that i've twisted the sector shaft in the steering
box as every thing else looks straight still.
So too the guys that have broken them too what did it cost
you just for the box to be recoed, or from the wreckers or new
from toyota.
Thank's Grant

I noticed the other day after wheeling that the steering wheel is nearly a quarter turned when driving straight ahead, where as it used to be straight to go straight.
HAs this happened to you and what could this indicate.

Quite a few guys on here have twisted the steering shaft (even snapped it!!! ), it's happened enough to now consider it a weakness in the toy steer box. if you look at the shaft, you may see the splines twisted - you should be able to see this without removing the pitman arm.
Built, not bought.
