Jeez I thought I could beat you with my TD42. Then you whipped out the Monsta tacho and now I know I dont have a chance.
For extra power you sit the monsta tacho on the bonnet. Thats how all the cool kids do it.
BAHAHA i mount all my guages ou the bonnet too so every one can see

Thanks Boxhead.
I have both the 4.2 petrol carby LWB and a 4.2 EFI, and find them comparable for power and economy. The EFI eats the carby for cold starts thou. I have a turbo to go on the EFI one later, that should get it up.
soon to be GQ wagon 4.2 diesel turbo and intercooled GQ ute V8 GenIII

been running 4.2 carby in comps for 5 years now and havnt had any real dramas. has enough power to get me into and out of trouble.
depends on what you want to do with it and how much power you think you need .
hoonz you should have put a turbo on the 4.2 petrol more power and cheaper than gen 3.
