Post by tritonasuras »

Has anyone ever done a engine lift ???

Would loike to raise the engine/gearbox approx 20mm (have bodylift)..

The gearbox looks easy to do but unsure about motor...

Without sticking my head in and looking at the mounts I don't know, but I don't imagine it would be too hard. Worst case, cut somewhere between engine mounts and chassis and extend 20mm?

Just remember that you're increasing driveshaft angles. Probably not much of an issue with a Triton, but if I'm gonna follow your lead I may have trouble. :P

Hey scott,
thanks for the info...

The rear of the triton should be ok and im sure the front will be fine.. yeh u may have some drive shaft issues (nothing a spacer can't fix)..

will try to get hold of some engine mounts and see if they can be ADJUSTED......

Hey FRANK, r the engine mounts (the ones that bolt to the block) of the triton V6 the same as 3ltr V6 paj's ?????

thanks guys

Yes the engine mounts are the same as a Paj.
The Kelpro red urethane engine mounts are about $50 Ea from memory available from Autobahn.
The part no is MT8035N for 91-97 NH-NK 3.0 V6 Paj's and MH-MK 90 on 3.0 V6 Tritons.
One thing I noticed when I put mine in was that they raised the engine quite a bit (at least 1") so you achieve an engine lift just by adding these.
