Thanks Steve.

I got mine balanced yesterday, 2 needed 30grams while the other 2 needed over 200grams. They all seem fine now though.

Yeah ok, they are balnce as they leave the shop,
but what about in two weeks time if the vehicle has not been driven and the tyre is out of shape.

When you intially drive off they will bump around from the flat spot but after a couple of minutes they go round again and the balance is fine. In terms of vibration, they will always vibrate at low speeds due to the design of the tread pattern. Mud tyres do this also.

Would a set of these and a couple of spares be any good for a trip to the cape?

I dont know if you need JT2's for that type of trip. They use a lot of fuel, don't handle as well as a muddie and will wear relatively quickly loaded on the highway. I have not been up there, though would have just run a muddie, MTR etc personally.

Not really, your better off with AT's. Specially for the cost and weight of them

Well done scotto i couldnt agree more.........

i borrowed a mates 34s and sounded like a 747 coming down the runway compared to mtrs.....i could believe how loud and handled like shit - granted probly werent balance 100%.... i swore never to drive on road with them.....

and noise and handling doesnt usually concern me....
just my experience
