Freight prices, who to use etc..

Post by BadLux »

Gday all,
As alot of you know us poor bastards over in Perth miss out on alot of good stuff for sale and I was just wandering what it costs to freight, fly, ship etc stuff over from the eastern states to Perth. Has anyone done it?? How much it cost, who you used etc.. What would it cost to bring a car over?? What would it cost to bring simply springs over??
Cheers

I'll be sending a pallet with diffs & springs over there to Perth for a guy off the forum, have been able to pull a few strings to get it depot to depot for nothing. Don't know if I'll be able to do it too often though.

Your best bet would be to find a company based in major capital city's that is likely to do one way freighting.

Like a national removalist or something.

I have heard that alot of those guys will throw something on their truck for the return trip for the sake of a carton or two.

Oz Post will do parts up to 20kg. We had a complete suspension set up come through work recently, 2 boxes with 2 coils in each, another 2 boxes with 2 shocks in each, and another package with the extras.
