I'm 16 like offroad_always. First car...

I've got a pretty much stock Sierra JX 89. Its a pale silver colour.

Its got:

-Aluminium bull bar (front bumper removed and front indicators set into bull bar)
-Tow bar
-A little black wooden tool/parts box under the hood (yay!)
-Removable fibreglass top (which has been sealed in places so it doesn't leak, but it'll be hard to take off if I want to)

Thats about it.

I'm getting:

-Reusable air filter.
-Standard tyres for the front. (Its too expensive to fork out for 4 offroad tyres).
-New engine (either 1.3L, 1.6L or whatever else would fit, depending on cost.)
-CD Player and speakers.

Plus I'm going to fix up some of the small problems and issues.

About the only advice I can give anyone if they buy a used suzuki or any car is to cut and polish it. Did that on mine and it turned out great, although the bonnet is a little past a cut and polish job.

Hi, I'm Shaun i live in the Sunny UK (NOT) been messing around with 4x4's mainly zooks for 10 years or so. Here in the UK together with a freind we organize an unruley mob called RAGING RHINO'S, all Suzuki mad lunatics. 6 Months ago i sold my Samurai (some of you may have seen it in October 2004's Total off road magazine, i beleive you get it down in Aus) and got myself a jimny after Christmas. Its a year 2000 DOHC model and i picked it up at a local salvage yard with Light damage and 40,000 miles on the clock For £1400. At the moment its half way through the build and here are the specs so far
3" Body lift
4" Spring lift
Procomp ES3000 Shockers all round
Procomp steering damper
Modified rear axle case fitted with a 12 bolt 5:12 Vitara L.S.D.
Heavy duty adjustable front and rear panard rods
Modified Janspeed Exhaust (Taken from a Rover MGF, Twin outlet)
33X12.50X15 BFG Muds fitted to 10X15 Chrome directional rims
Modified Vitara wide arches.

Still to do
Make heavy duty transfer case mounts (bin the ally ones)
Make Front bumper
And then fit my Brantz, CB Radio etc etc etc.
