Hi Guys can someone shed some light on this, will a high mount winch fit onto a std ARB bull bar, (i think they are called low mount bars but not sure) ?
I'm willing to modify somewhat but is it strong enought etc? what other points are there to consider??

I modified mine to suit a highmount. Only do it with a steel bar for strength. Make sure the bar has sufficient bracing to the chassis to support the winch.
I had the front of the bar braced with thich steel plate to stop the bar from warping from the line pull. It has worked fine so far and looks quite neat.

Where can i get some thich steel from?
Most steel bars can be modified to suit the High mount. Biggest issue is radiator to bar clearance because most low mount bars are not deap enough to fit the High mount winch in.
