SILL TANK SENDER UNITS

Post by Loanrangie »

I need ideas on fitting sender units to my sill tanks, looked in wreckers yesterday and the only ones i saw that may work are vl -v? commo ones but they bolt into the side of the tank. Was hoping to get some top fitting ones as i;m not sure if the side fitting ones would leak if i self tapped with gasket and sealer- Any ideas ?

I don't know what the commo ones are like, but I do know early rangie side mount sender units can be used as top mount senders.

It's just a matter of bending the float arm and soldering up the fuel pick-up tube. Remember the float arm can also be extended or shortened to suit.

I'd be surprised if you couldn't do similar with the commo one.
