Buy a forklift (or just borrow one) and measure your compressed and extended lengths

It's best to get the right one, rather than the longest one.

Although the longest shock is cool for bragging rights at the mall

Spaz
As your going to put hilux rears in the front you will use all the travel that the 9012s will give. You will need to fit new shock hoops as the top of the shock will sit way higher than standard,& as the diff will be about 3in forward of standard the origonal shock towers will be to far back on the rail. Hope this helps.
I can sort you out with some shock hoops if you want.
Cheers

As previously stated, you'll need the 99012 with the rear springs at the front. I have this set up with the hoops as high into the guards as possible (the bigger the hammer - the higher you can go) without going through the guard.

I ripped off my shock hoop a few weeks back as the shock bottomed out under compression. At full droop, the shock is about 20mm from bottoming out. I've already set the bumpstops reasonably high. The only way that I can get the top mount higher is to move it outward but then the tire will foul the shock. Thus wheel spacers etc are needed. With my current setup, I have scrub marks on my shock body already.

All that I can recommend is to space the tyre out, really lay into the guards to get the top mount up high and run 99036x ranchos.

Good luck!

I had two 99036x on the rear of my hilux until my torque arm broke off and punctured one. So since having it repaired I now have one 99036x and one 99012x :) as well as the pair of 99012x on the front. Although I need the 99036x on the front, I can't get my top mount high enough to allow to facilitate this. :(
