Can anyone tell me what the power and torque figures are for a standard 1997 80 series l/c 4.2 multi valve turbo diesel.

maybe check on the www.llcool.org website.

They have nearly every statistic on 80's including the length of the spacer bolt that holds the coupling to the doohickey attached to the whatshyama call it... :D
