Just wondering, if my 4" suspension system dosn't sell which is currently advertised on the forum, i am considering going full out and wacking her in.
Its the full deal everything i need is in the kit springs/shocks/tcase kit etc. If i combine this which a body lift 1or2" not sure yet but while on that topic will the car be ok with 4" suspension and 2" body?? Get a SYE while i am at it. Also do the gearing and perhaps a front locker - is it essential to run both front/rear? or which is more important also will the detroit lockers perform as well as an ARB airlocker?
So to get to the point i want to run 35's will these fit with that setup and be ok at full flex etc? Or are my better running 33's?
Do i need flares? or can i get away without running them?
I have the suspension but the SYE, Lockers, Ratios will need to be purchased what do you guys reckon that will set me back?
Last thing if i wanted to get everything of the above installed profesionally what would the labour cost be roughly excluding the parts say for example i sources them all out myself and had them all on hand?

why are you selling the current 4" lift and what will replace it?
Thousands of people are running 4" suspension and 2" body??
SYE is definitely a good idea and virtually required with anything over a 3" spring lift.
It is good to do gearing and lockers at the same time as you save on install costs.
Rear already has an LSD, so adding a front will make it a lot more capable.
All depends what sort of stuff you wheel really.
Detroits have pros and cons as do ARBS.
With the ARB's you can turn them off when you are driving on road, or when you need to turn sharply offroad.
But the compressor does fail, the air lines can break, the solenoids fail, you forgot to turn them on, etc.
Detroits just work all the time.
But they are worse on road, so it depends how much you drive it.
4" spring and 2" body is plenty to run 35's.
Just make sure the bumpstops are setup right and the wheels have correct backspacing.
You will need 7" flares to run a 12.5" wide 35 on 15x8 rim.
With a 10.5" wide tyre you could use stock flares with extensions or 6" aftermarkets

NFI - call your local jeep shop

OK heres my long winded opinion:
1. 4'' lift + 2'' Body will be fine for 35's. A 2'' BL is a little more complicated than a 1'' though.
2. SYE is a very good idea
3. Your jeep has a trashlock (limited slip diff) in the rear axle - If you are going to re-gear your diffs at the same time as doing the lockers (good idea) then you may have to replace the trashlock anyways. There are many arguments over which locker should go in first. I ran an ARB in the rear for a while before i added a detroit ez locker in the front. The difference was huge.
4. Detroit vs ARB - well they both do the same job, only difference is that you can choose to turn the ARB on or off, where as the detroit is always locked. Personally i would not run a detroit in the rear as it effects on road driving. If you are not concerned (and many people arent) about this then go for it. I chose the EZ locker in the front because a) It is cheap and b) you don't feel it in 2wd.
In terms of prices etc, you'll have to ring around. I suggest calling all the guys that do jeeps. ABT 4x4 (www.abt4x4.com), Suburban, Wooders, Offroad Industries, Overkill etc ... there are heaps of options out there and they will be able to help with prices.
