Hi All
Can anyone tell me the size of the nut holding the the front diff pinion flange on a 99 Disco ser 11 V8i and whether it can be undone with a 1/2" drive and breaker bar, or will I need a 3/4" drive setup.
Also there is no collapsable spacer, so do I need to torque the nut.
Cheers from down under,
Cappy

Disco diff pinion question

Can't remember the size, but you can undo it with a 1/2 inch drive. A rattle gun works well, but if you do not have one, you will have to get something to stop the flange turning when you are attempting to undo it. It has a nylock nut but it should be tensioned. Basically the torque setting is FT (bloody tight).
