warranty or not ; just discovered my 2000 3ltr nissan has broken the mount of the diif for the rear trailing arm. going to see nissan tomorrow i have a nissan extened warranty please help
InSanE wrote:yea clean it well and was it a vehicle fault? or did u hit something because i am a mechanic at nissan and we are pretty tight with warranty claims
It doesnt matter what car company you are with, they are all barstards when it come to warranty. They have no problem taking money, but cant spend it to help a coustomer.
Its not cool, unless it's got boost :)
Well I had the 5th gear syndrome with my 2000 model out of warranty and they fixed it no questions asked.
They then fixed 3rd gear synchro after assembly which mysteriously failed about 100kms later, once again no questions asked (this one I thought they should've had no probs as they did the original work and stuffed it)
But if the problem you have is a legit claim I see no drama's if it is the result of a trail mishap then maybe you will have to fix it.
If it is a manufacturing fault with a mount it should be easy to work out say the weld was corrupt to start and developed a weak spot.
But say there is a huge bend in the said trailing arm then that is another matter.
Alot of what if's but you should know yourself what caused it, if you believe it was a equipment failure through normal use just stick to your guns.
