Transfer case 80 series

Post by bruiser »

What's a new or reconditioned transfer case worth?

Also when converting them to part time does this replace the bits that wear or is there more to replace on a worn tranfer case.
Thanks
Steve

When fitting a part-time kit no wearing parts are replaced.

Hi
Bearings and broken bits are whats consumable in the transfer...usually bearings will make noise, and pop out of 4wd....the planitary sun gears on a constant can break, and if thats the case, the part time kit may fix that.
